Hello everyone! On Saturday, October 1st the Nittany Mountain Biking Association (http://www.nittanymba.org/) is hosting Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at Shaver’s Creek! The event is a nationwide push by the IMBA (http://www.imba.com/) to help get kids outside, and pass on your passion for pedaling. It will begin at 10:00 AM, and go until 3:00 PM; Shaver’s Creek closes its gate at 5:00 PM. There will be plenty of riding opportunities for all skill levels, as well as everything that Shaver’s Creek has to offer, which includes a bird of prey show during the day.
If your child doesn’t have a bike, please don’t let that stop you from coming out. We have a small fleet of mountain bikes, and plenty of helmets that can be shared during the day to give everyone an opportunity to enjoy pedaling around the awesome trails at Shavers Creek with the good folks from the NMBA!
