What Will I Learn?
- How to identify Sugar Maple trees
- Historical and modern methods for collecting and boiling sap into maple syrup
- Outdoor, experiential, and team teaching techniques
- Interpretive methods for teaching the art of maple sugaring to the general public during a community festival

- Tuesday, January 28 — 6:00–8:00 p.m. on campus
- Tuesday, February 4 — 6:00–8:00 p.m. on campus
- Tuesday, February 11 — 3:00–7:00 p.m. at Shaver’s Creek (mandatory)
- Rain/Snow Date: Thursday, February 13
- Tuesday, February 18 — 6:00–8:00 p.m. on campus
- Tuesday, February 25 — 6:00–8:00 p.m. on campus
- Tuesday, March 4 — 6:00–8:00 p.m. on campus
- Tuesday, March 18 — 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Shaver’s Creek (mandatory)
Festival Dates
Attendance at one day of the Maple Harvest Festival at Shaver’s Creek is mandatory.
Saturday, March 22 — 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or Sunday, March 23 — 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
