Join Shaver’s Creek staff Alexa Sarussi for a free, in-person morning of nature journaling. This month, we’re visiting The Arboretum at Penn State to explore the Childhood’s Gate Children’s Garden, the Pollinator and Bird Garden, and wherever else your curiosity takes you! The gardens will be in the height of their summer bloom, and there are spaces with shade and sun, as well as benches for resting and trails for walking.
This session will introduce participants to diverse nature journaling techniques. It will culminate with sharing our learnings and reflecting together. All ages, families, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing and to monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant.
