The 2011 Birding Cup fundraiser on May 6–7 was a great success! A huge thanks to everyone who birded and raised pledges for the 24-hour event, our event sponsors, and those of you who donated to Shaver’s Creek’s only annual fundraiser!!
For the first time in four years, we have a new Birding Cup champion — our very own Bad Optics with 137 species! As pledge donations continue to roll in, we are on track to once again reach our goal of $12,000, so thank you! While those of you who donated should receive it in the mail, please download Shaver’s Creek Director (and Bad Optics team member) Mark McLaughlin’s thank you letter below.
