Build Like a Beaver: Exploring the Lives of Ecosystem Engineers

Celebrate International Beaver Day with Shaver’s Creek as we learn, explore, and create like a beaver!

Throughout this hands-on program, you’ll learn all about the changes that beavers make to their ecosystems (more than any other animal besides humans). You can experience what it’s like to be a beaver by creating the best beaver dam you can, and then we’ll head out on the trails to see a real beaver habitat and talk about the role beavers play in the Stone Valley forest.

Be sure to dress for the weather and come prepared for a short hike! Children and adults are welcome to participate in this program.
